New gaskets for proper sealing: Fresh gaskets help reduce the chance of seepage at the oil drain, drain screw, and vent screw. Lower unit maintenance support: Fresh gear lube helps protect internal gears and bearings while supporting smooth operation. Cleaner fuel delivery: A new primary fuel filter element helps capture debris before it can reach important fuel system components. FAQ Why are there 2 lower unit drain gaskets included? Most Yamaha gearcases use one gasket for the drain screw and one for the vent screw, so this kit includes both for the same service. Do I need to replace the oil drain gasket each time?Yes. Replacing the oil drain gasket during service helps support a proper seal after the drain plug is reinstalled. Is the quart pump reusable?Yes. Clean the pump after use and store it with your maintenance supplies for future lower unit services. What does FC-W mean?FC-W is a four-stroke marine oil standard made for outboards operating in wet, high-load boating conditions.
