Fresh gaskets for proper sealing: Replacement gaskets help reduce the chance of seepage at drain and vent points after service. Easier lower unit service: The included pump helps support a cleaner bottom-up gearcase fill. Fuel system support: A new primary fuel filter element helps capture debris before it reaches important fuel system components. FAQ Why are there 2 lower unit drain gaskets included? Most Yamaha lower units use one gasket at the drain screw and one at the vent screw, allowing both to be replaced during the same service. Can I reuse the quart pump?Yes. Clean the pump after use and store it with your maintenance supplies for future lower unit service. Do I need to replace the oil drain gasket?Yes. Replacing the oil drain gasket during service helps support a proper seal after the drain plug is reinstalled. Is this enough gear lube for my lower unit? Many midrange outboards use about one quart for lower unit service, but always confirm your specific gearcase capacity before servicing.
