Affiliate disclosure
Last updated September 2026
FindSift is free to use because merchants pay us a commission when you buy through our links. This page explains exactly how that works and where it could bias what you see.
The short version
When you click a Buy or View deal button on FindSift, you are sent to the merchant's own website through an affiliate tracking link. If you buy something, the merchant pays us a percentage of the sale.
You pay nothing extra. The price is the same as it would be if you had gone to the merchant directly.
Which links are affiliate links
Assume all of them are. Every outbound link to a merchant on this site goes through our redirect and carries affiliate tracking. We do not mix paid and unpaid product links, because a disclosure you have to check link by link is not a disclosure.
Where this could bias what you see
We think you are owed the honest version rather than a reassurance:
- We can only show products from merchants whose affiliate programs we have joined. A better product sold somewhere we have no relationship with will not appear here.
- Commission rates differ between merchants. We do not rank by commission, but the set of products you are choosing from is shaped by which programs exist.
- If you agreed to the shopping profile, the four products on our front page are chosen partly from the departments you have bought from before. Two of the four are, one is something new in that department, and the fourth is deliberately unrelated so a single stray click cannot narrow the site down around you. Say no and everyone sees the same four.
What we do not do: accept payment for a higher ranking, alter prices, or hide a cheaper option we know about.
Prices and availability
Prices come from merchant product feeds and can be out of date by the time you read them. The price on the merchant's own page is the real one. If they disagree, the merchant is right and we are wrong — please tell us so we can fix the feed.
We are not the seller
FindSift does not sell anything, hold stock, take payment or ship orders. Your purchase is a contract between you and the merchant, under their terms, with their returns policy and their warranty.
Why this notice appears on every page
United States Federal Trade Commission guidance requires affiliate relationships to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close to the links they apply to. A line buried in a footer does not meet that standard, so ours sits at the top of every page.
