Yamaha LF300USB4 Outboard Motor 30-Inch Shaft | Counter Rotation | Digital Electronic Control (DEC) | Electric Start | Power Trim & Tilt | EFI with Variable Camshaft Timing | Classic White Yamaha LF300USB4 is all about balance, precision, and power. This counter-rotating offshore outboard is made for larger boats and multi-engine setups that demand control and confidence. Under the hood is Yamaha’s 4.2-liter V6 with Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) — an engine known for its quick throttle response, strong midrange torque, and impressive fuel economy. The 30-inch shaft gives it the reach needed for deep-transom offshore hulls, keeping the propeller perfectly positioned for efficiency and stability. Its counter-rotation design helps cancel torque when paired with a standard-rotation engine, giving smoother steering and easier handling, especially when docking or maneuvering in tight spaces. Dressed in Classic White, it adds a clean, upscale look to premium offshore boats and yachts. ⚠️ Important Installation Note This outboard features Yamaha’s Digital Electronic Control (DEC) system and must be installed by an authorized Yamaha dealer. Both the motor and the control system require setup using Yamaha diagnostic tools. DIY installation isn’t supported. Frequently Asked Questions Q: What’s the benefit of counter-rotation? A: It reduces steering effort and balances torque in twin-engine configurations, improving control at both cruising and docking speeds. Q: Can I install this engine myself? A: No. DEC engines must be set up by an authorized Yamaha dealer using Yamaha diagnostic tools to ensure proper configuration. Q: Which boats work best with a 30-inch shaft? A: Deep-V and offshore fishing boats, as well as multi-engine setups, where a longer shaft keeps the prop at the correct running depth.
