Yamaha T50LC Outboard Motor 20-Inch Shaft | Remote Control | Electric Start | Power Trim & Tilt | High Thrust | Gray The Yamaha T50LC is part of Yamaha’s High Thrust lineup—built for boats that need strong, steady power at low speeds. This 50-horsepower four-stroke outboard is ideal for pontoons, sailboats, and workboats that carry heavy loads or have higher drag on the water. With its 20-inch shaft, remote control setup, electric start, and power trim & tilt, the T50LC delivers the control and reliability Yamaha is known for. The T50LC uses a large-diameter, low-pitch propeller and an optimized gear ratio to generate more thrust where it matters most—at low speed. It’s smooth, quiet, and fuel-efficient, with a four-cylinder engine that keeps performance consistent whether you’re docking, trolling, or cruising across the bay. A: The T50LC is Yamaha’s High Thrust version of the 50HP motor. It uses a different prop and gear ratio to deliver more torque and better low-speed control, while the F50LB is tuned for general performance. Q: What boats benefit from a High Thrust outboard? A: Pontoons, sailboats, and displacement-style hulls—basically, anything that needs stronger push power at lower speeds. Q: Does the T50LC have fuel injection? A: Yes. It’s equipped with Yamaha’s EFI system, which improves efficiency, throttle response, and overall reliability.
