Heavy-duty lower unit protection: HD gear lube helps protect gears and bearings under high torque and heavier loads. Fuel system support: Includes both the primary fuel filter element and a 10-micron fuel/water separating filter. Cleaner gearcase service: The included pump supports a bottom-up lower unit fill with less mess and fewer trapped air pockets. FAQ Why are there 2 lower unit drain gaskets included? Most Yamaha lower units use one gasket at the drain screw and one at the vent screw, allowing both sealing points to be replaced during the same service. Do I need the 10-micron fuel/water separating filter if I already have the primary fuel filter?Yes. The fuel/water separator and primary fuel filter work together to help reduce water and debris before fuel reaches sensitive engine components. Can I reuse the gear lube pump?Yes. Clean the pump after use and store it with your service supplies for future lower unit maintenance. Should I replace the oil drain gasket every time?Yes. Replacing the drain gasket during service helps maintain a clean seal after the drain plug is reinstalled.
